We were approached this week by a firm blatently misselling Adwords. The offer was simply too good to be true, guaranteed top of page one listing on Google, 24/7 for 5 search terms, for a fixed monthly fee of just £125 - all in conjunction with Google. They obviously didn't realise that we know Adwords as well as anyone, so could see through their scam. Our issue is that other businesses, without hands-on knowledge of SEO and PPC, could easily fall for the offer. So, for those tempted by such offers (of which there are many according to Google), here's the thoughts of the team at Google:

"Hi Nick,

As discussed, Google would never guarantee 24/7 top of page one listings. It's impossible to do so and anybody who says it is possible obviously does not understand our auction model.
This company are calling themselves XXXXX but that has nothing to do with Google. I will pass this on to our team who will monitor claims like this and thank you for flagging it to me.
The 'unlimited clicks' is also a ridiculous statement and impossible to achieve. Many thanks."
